Abstract
The folded perfect shuffle was proposed to implement the 1-D perfect s huffle by folding the 1-D input data array into a 2-D array. which has the inherent advantage of wholly using the space-bandwidth product of the 2-D optical system, We suggest several methods to implement the f olded perfect shuffle using quadrant-encoded gratings and proper spati al filters. The general principles of this interconnection network are described and the experimental results are given.
