Abstract
Heavily deformed Copper-Niobium-Composites reveal a very high strength and a good electrical conductivity and are thus attractive materials for the production of electric devices for cars, coils and frames. Due to the sophisticated techniques the current laboratory processing met hods for Copper-Niobium have been too expensive to be transferred into industrial requirements. With the present work two aims are thus sigh ted. First the properties of this material will be reviewed and second a recently developed technology for the industrial production of Copp er-Niobium will be introduced.
