Abstract
Lower levels of self reported satisfaction with addiction treatment in a sample of 59 addicts at the end of a four week inpatient addiction treatment program were significantly correlated with scores on the Psy chopathic Deviate (Pd) and Responsibility Scale (Re) of the MMPI2: mor e rebellious and less socially responsible patients reported less sati sfaction with the treatment program (r<.30, p<.05, 1-tailed). Satisfac tion scores were neither correlated with Antisocial Practices (ASP) no r with other MMPI2 scales relevant for measuring antisocial/aggressive attitudes (Anger, Cynicism, Hypomania, and Ego Strength). These resul ts suggest that clients' satisfaction scores are sometimes influenced by personality factors. This may be of importance when measurements of client satisfaction are used for program development or evaluation.
