SINAPIC ACID-ESTERS FROM POLYGALA-VIRGATA

Three sinapoyl glycosides have been isolated from the roots of Polygal a virgata. The structures were established on the basis of UV, mass, H -1 and C-13 NMR spectral data, including homonuclear and heteronuclear 2D shift correlation and selective INEPT experiments. l-alpha-D-(3-O- acetyl-6-O-sinapoyl)glucopyranoside and l-alpha-D-(4-O-acetyl-6-O-sina poyl)glucopyranoside are new natural products, whereas ctofuranosyl-al pha-D-(6-O-sinapoyl)glucopyranoside has already been reported from oth er plants.
