Together with 17 known alkaloids, a new diterpene alkaloid was isolate
d from the roots of Aconitum liaotungeuse and identified as 3-O-acetyl
beiwutine by spectral analysis and chemical transformation from beiwut
ine. Complete and unambiguous assignments of the H-1 and C-13 NMR data
of both compounds were made by a combination of one- and two-dimensio
nal techniques (COSY, DQF-COSY, ROESY, HMQC, HMBC and selective INEPT)
.
