D. Perret et al., EXPOSURE TO ORGANIC-SOLVENTS AND FORMALDEHYDE DURING FLOORING IMPREGNATION - ON-SITE AND LAB STUDIES, Chimia, 47(6), 1993, pp. 250-251
This study, conducted both on site and in the laboratory shows that pa
rket workers are exposed to organic solvents and formaldehyde when usi
ng classical varnishes. Respirators must be used when working > 1/2 h.
On the other hand, modem water-based varnishes do not produce dangero
us volatile solvents nor formaldehyde.
