Abstract
Feeding groundnut-cake in combination with-sunflower seed-meal and mai ze gluten-meal (GSM) or with mustard-cake and maize-gluten-meal (GMM) significantly (P<0.05) depressed the body-weight gain of the broiler s tarter chicks. Inclusion of fish-meal or meat-meal either at 4 or 8% t o all vegetable protein diets, significantly improved weight gains. Ap parent nitrogen absorbability (%) and metabolizable energy were not im proved even by the supplementation of animal proteins.
