Abstract
We studied the X-ray emission from laser plasmas produced by irradiati ng thick solid Fe targets with 1.064 mum Nd-laser light at intensity u p to 1.2 . 10(13) W/cm2 with 3 and 20ns pulses. Measurements include X -ray signal dependence on energy and focusing of laser light; X-ray pi n-hole pictures of the plasma; time duration of X-ray emission.
