Abstract
Regioselective nucleophilic substitution at the 5-position of indole n ucleus was observed in the reaction of 1-hydroxytryptophan and 1-hydro xytryptamine derivatives with acids, suggesting the mechanism of serot onin formation in the central nervous system.
