Pn. Makkaveyev et Pv. Bubnov, THE PECULIARITIES OF THE VERTICAL-DISTRIBUTION OF THE CARBON SYSTEM COMPONENTS IN THE AEROBIC ZONE OF THE BLACK-SEA, Okeanologia, 33(3), 1993, pp. 354-359
As a result of the carbon system components study in the upper 100-m l
ayer of the Black Sea the most common features of its vertical distrib
ution were found. The main being the presence of double maxima of the
dissolved non-organiC Carbon, one located at the surface the other in
the deep sea which is connected with the upper border of the H2S, and
the minimum, the position of which changes from 10 to 50 m. The compar
ison with the other hydrochemical characteristics and the statistical
analysis provides to explain the origin of such distribution of the no
n-organic carbon. The main factor governing their formation is the cor
relation between the processes of the organic substance formation and
decomposition and the density structure of the waters.
