Abstract
It is shown that water-mechanical methods of the grain size analysis a re inadequate for metalliferous sediments. Laser granulometer ''MALVER N'' is a much more preferable tool for this research. The majority of sediments are pelitic and silty pelitic clays with three- or four moda l granulometric spectra.
