Abstract
An evaluation of a CD-ROM wide-area network was undertaken at the Univ ersity of Pittsburgh Libraries. The authors interviewed reference staf f on their use of and satisfaction with the network, polled student as sistants on the type and amount of assistance they offer users, survey ed users to gauge their satisfaction with the network and CD-ROM searc hing, and analyzed computer-generated reports of users' search strateg ies. The authors discuss the findings and plans for future enhancement s to the CD network.
