Abstract
A study of polyphenylene(PP) is always a focus in all kinds of the con jugated polymers, Based on synthesis of poly(N,N-dimethylaniline) (PDM A), polynitrobenzene (PNB) is obtained by modifying PDMA with concentr ated nitric acid in acetic anhydride, This new nitro-substituted PP is soluble in common organic solvents such as acetone, DMF and THF at ro om temperature, This paper describes the synthetic process and confirm s the characteristic of PNB by elementary analysis, NMR, FTIR and UV-V is spectra, then discusses a possible reaction mechanism.
