Abstract
Small amount of lubricant in polyurethane elastomer can notably improv e physical properties, such as hardness, tensile strength, wear and te ar etc. The antiplastication effect can be explained in terms of reduc ed movement resistance of soft and hard segments, better microphase se paration. The reactive lubricant molecular jointing to polyurethane mo lecular exhibited a better antiplastication effect than inert lubrican t which takes a free state. This result can be explained in terms of l ubricant-polyurethane thermodynamical non-miscibility, so inert lubric ant may be repelled from the system while the liquid rubber is solidif ying, in contrast to the reactive lubricant can form a stable lubrican tion in phases boundary layers.
