Abstract
A series of cyclopentadienyl-ene-1,2-dithiolatocobalt complexes, [(eta 5-C5H5)CO(S2C2RH)], has been prepared. The derivative in which quinoxa lin-2-yl is bound to the dithiolene manifests novel electrochemical be haviour in acidic media which is consistent with a coupling of metal-c entered electron addition to protonation of a pyrazine ring nitrogen. This communication is dedicated to Professor Edward C. Taylor, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, in acknowledgement of his major contrib utions to heterocyclic chemistry in general and to the study of pterid ines in particular.
