Abstract
Dosimetric characteristics' on board Czechoslovak Airlines' aircraft ( TU 154M; A310-300) were studied with different active and passive dete ctors (ionisation chamber RSS 112, scintillator based rate meter; GM c ounter based rate meter; neutron remmeter based on neutron moderation; thermoluminescent detectors, CR 39 track detectors and bubble-damage neutron detectors). Results obtained are analysed and discussed. It is estimated that the dose equivalent rates at altitudes of about 10 km are at least 3-4 muSv.h-1. Conclusions and recommendations for further studies and for radiation protection are given.
