Abstract
A model, originally developed for the specific luminescence of thin fi lms, has been adapted to predict the light-output response (L) of scin tillator detectors to heavy-ions. The resulting model is applied to av ailable data from DELTAE(Si)+L arrays with CsI(Tl) scintillators.
