The power density distribution in multipole-wiggler radiation was meas
ured using a photocalorimetric device. The measured density was lower
than the value calculated using Kim's formula for undulator radiation
by about 20% at the peak density. It was ascertained that Kim's formul
a gives a power density of multipole-wiggler radiation accurate enough
for power estimation, and that the photocalorimetry is a useful mean
for measuring high-power X-radiation.
