By means of suitable olfactometer experiments the repellency of consti
tuents of seeds of Crotalaria ochroleuca (Fabaceae) and a synergistic
effect of dodecane upon the activity of 2-isopropyl-3-methoxypyrazin,
2-isobutyl-3-methoxypyrazin and upon mixtures of both pyrazins is demo
nstrated. Using a Closed Loop Stripping aeration technique, the volati
le components of C. ochroleuca seeds are analysed.
