Abstract
The main feature of the presented approach to solve the neutron transp ort equation consists in the application of the Laplace transform to t he discrete ordinates equations, which yields a linear system of order N to be solved (LTS(N) method). In this paper this system is solved a nalytically and the inversion is performed using the Heaviside expansi on technique. The general formulation achieved by this procedure is th en applied to homogeneous and heterogeneous one-group slab-geometry pr oblems.
