Abstract
Fe-57 Mossbauer spectra of RFe12-xGax compounds were interpreted in te rms of the mean field approximation allowing the assignment of the sit e preference of Ga atoms. The dominant localized moments contribution to 3d magnetism is evidenced by the correlation of Mossbauer and magne tic measurements data.
