Abstract
We discuss the physics of pion exchange in forming hadronic molecules.
The notion of a critical mass - the minimal reduced mass required for
molecule formation - is introduced. The critical mass is estimated us
ing scaling arguments based on the deuteron. We also discuss the role
of tensor forces in such molecules.
