Abstract
Following successive extraktion from 2 ml of aqueous solution the meta l ions Hg(II), Tl(I) and Cd(II) are photometrically determined with br illantgreen as ionpaircomplexes in the range of concentration from 0 t o 2,5 ppm. Only brillantgreen in combination with three different orga nic solvents is used. Subsequently Pb(II) is determined with oxin. The method may also be used for the single determination of one of these ions besides three of the others. A slight dependence of the metal con centrations on each other during the extraction procedure is eliminate d by arithmetical correction.
