Abstract
The following represent new records for NW. Africa: Catinella arenaria (which greatly extends the known range), Vertigo antivertigo, V. Pygm aea, V. moulinsiana, and Pupilla triplicata. The following species hav e not been previously recorded from Morocco; Oxyloma pfeifferi, Vallon ia costata, Toltecia pusillum, Helicodiscus singleyanus, Zonitoides ni tidus and Zonitoides arboreus. Examination of museum material suggests that there are species described from the region which may be conspec ific with more widespread Palaearctic taxa for which we give new distr ibutional records. The identities of Vertigo discheilia, V. maresi, V. microlena, V. codia and V. briobia (Bourguignat, 1864) are discussed. The following are synonyms of more widespread species: Pupilla L'Epre vieri' [= Pupilla muscorum], Patula Marthae Ancey, 1894 [= Gittenbergi a sororcula]. Nomenclatural problems regarding Helicodiscus singleyanu s are pointed out.
