Abstract
Four maize fields with the same management practices were sampled four times during 1 year. Spore numbers and percentage of mycorrhizal infe ction were evaluated to follow mycorrhizal dynamics in relation to som e agronomic parameters, soil properties and host plant cycle. Strong m ycorrhizal infection was observed in young plants and decreased slowly until plant maturity. Sporulation occurred also at plant maturity but spore numbers decreased drastically through winter and spring. Tradit ional agricultural practices maintain high spore populations and high mycorrhizal infection in the field. Low input and low disturbance mana gement are discussed.
