Abstract
Views among foreign language educators regarding the value of error co rrection have changed considerably in recent decades. This paper exami nes contemporary trends in the error correction literature. Emphases a re on the: 1) Types of Errors and 2) Methods of Corrections which affe ct second language acquisition.
