Abstract
Temperature management treatments have been tested for disinfestation of commodities containing eggs and larvae of the Caribbean fruit fly, Anastrepha suspensa (Loew). Some of these treatments have reduced the quality of horticultural commodities, while others have had no deleter ious effects. Hot water immersion, vapor heat, hot air, and cold stora ge are reviewed with respect to their effect on the market quality att ributes of several fruits.
