Abstract
Our studies showed that by treating ion exchange resins with oxidizing agents the development of microorganisms was prevented and there was a significant decrease in the total bacterial colonies in the Na-Cl io nization water. The most suitable oxidizing agent is hydrogen peroxide with a concentration of 1-2% as it does not irreversibly affect the m echanical stability of ion exchange resins.
