Gb. Runion et Wd. Kelley, CHARACTERIZATION OF A BINUCLEATE RHIZOCTONIA SPECIES CAUSING FOLIAR BLIGHT OF LOBLOLLY-PINE, Plant disease, 77(7), 1993, pp. 754-755
A previously unreported foliar blight of loblolly pine (Pinus taeda),
caused by a binucleate Rhizoctonia solani-like fungus in the Ceratobas
idium anastomosis group 3 (CAG-3), is described. Isolates of binucleat
e Rhizoctonia sp. causing loblolly pine foliar blight anastomosed with
binucleate isolates from blighted seedlings of longleaf pine (P. palu
stris).
