Abstract
Inter-industry variations in foreign investment shares are explained b y both 'industrial economics' factors and the host country policy envi ronment. While there is a consensus in the literature on the appropria te strategy for modelling the former, the latter remains something of a lacuna. We demonstrate how this variable may be formally incorporate d into the analysis.
