Abstract
The orientation of the polarization plane in the solar corona during t he total eclipse of July 11, 1991 was measured using a rotating polaro id with the axis directed at +/-45-degrees to the radius. The polariza tion plane was tangential to the solar surface everywhere with the acc uracy within 1-degree.
