NEW ARRANGEMENT FOR JET CONTROL OF HEAT AND FLAME GUNITING OF CONVERTER

Work at the West Siberian Iron and Steel Combine on improving the desi gn of blowing arrangements in converters both for the main process and for guniting of the lining is described. An integrated approach has b een adopted, and the investigations carried out have enabled new highl y effective blowing regimes and arrangements to be developed.
