Abstract
An evaluation report of a Minority Honors Program working in partnersh ip with the Office of Minority Economic Impact of the U.S. Department of Energy shows that African-American, Hispanic, and Asian students ca n graduate from and find employment in the fields of high technology-c omputer science, electrical technology, engineering science, data prog ramming, and nuclear medicine technology-generally fields to which min orities have had limited access High graduation rates, successful job placements, and pursuit of senior college degrees are the result of st rong instructional and counseling services at Bronx Community College and the solid but unobtrusive support of the federal agency that provi ded the scholarships to the minority students. An alliance framework s uch as this will likely become prominent in higher education into the 21st century.
