Abstract
This paper deals with the attitude motion of a dual-spin satellite wit h a finite sized rigid body attached to the end of a flexible beam. Th e equations of motion are derived using Lagrange's equations and are s olved using the perturbation technique known as the Krylov-Bogoliubov- Mitropolsky method. The special can of torsional flexibility is presen ted in its entirety. The relationships between the satellite, beam and tip mass parameters, and pointing accuracy of the satellite are exami ned.
