Abstract
The experimental design method is applied to the simultaneous determin ation of four terpenes in six essential oils of lavender and lavandin. Using a 2(10-6) fractional factorial design, only 16 chromatographic analyses are required as compared to 28 for the usual AFNOR method, wi thout any loss in precision.
