Abstract
The effects of mammary-derived growth inhibitor (MDGI) on proliferatio n of bovine mammary myoepithelial cells was examined. MDGI (10 ng L-1) inhibited myoepithelial proliferation. The specificity of the MDGI ef fect was tested with anti-MDGI rabbit serum which was shown to neutral ize MDGI and abolish the effect of MDGI on myoepithelial cell prolifer ation.
