Abstract
The bromo-allylidenecyclopropane 6 has been prepared and has been foun d to form a [2+2]-cyclodimer upon bromine lithium exchange at -78-degr ees-C/-90-degrees-C; the structure of the dimer has been proved by an X-ray structure analysis to be that of 3'-(1,2-dihydronaphthalinyl)dis piro[2.0.2.2]octane (8).
