Abstract
A method for reducing specular reflectance from metallic surfaces in w hich ammonium chloride is used as a fuming reagent is described. This method has the advantage of being easily controlled, and is rapid. The deposit of ammonium chloride salt on the metallic surface is easily a nd effectively removed by washing.
