Abstract
The thermodynamic properties of crystals undergoing the structural pha se transitions due to the cooperative pseudo-Jahn - Teller effect are considered. The influence of random crystal fields caused by impurity atoms on the heat capacity, the elastic moduli and the linear expansio n coefficient is investigated in the random phase approximation. It is shown that the linear term in the low-temperature specific heal incre ases with the impurity concentration at x < x(cr).
