A new method of creating a single quasi-one-dimensional conducting sys
tem of mobile electrons above liquid helium surface curved by capillar
y forces is described and experimentally realized. It is shown that th
e system enables one to investigate the influence of dimensional and c
orrelation effects on dynamic properties of electrons. It is found tha
t the conductivity of the system depends non-monotonously on the holdi
ng field intensity and on electron concentration.
