Lf. Hirsh et al., THORACIC SPINAL-CORD INJURY WITHOUT SPINE FRACTURE IN AN ADULT - CASE-REPORT AND LITERATURE-REVIEW, Surgical neurology, 40(1), 1993, pp. 35-38
The syndrome of traumatic spinal cord injury without spinal column fra
cture is well known and predominantly involves the cervical spine of c
hildren. One case of a thoracic spinal cord injury without bony abnorm
alities in an adult is reported, and the pertinent literature is revie
wed. Although spinal cord injury without radiographic abnormality may
exist, such injuries without neuroimaging pathology may not.
