Abstract
Four chlorinated organophosphate flame retardants present in polyureth ane foams were analysed by supercritical fluid chromatography with fla me-ionization detection and mass spectrometry. In addition, their amen ability to gas chromatography was investigated. Real samples were anal ysed by using these techniques after on-line extraction with supercrit ical carbon dioxide. On-line quantitative extraction of the flame reta rdants from the polyurethane foams was investigated by using an extern al calibration.
