Abstract
A method for the detection of pyrethroid insecticides by thin-layer ch romatography is described. These insecticides, on bromination and trea tment with o-tolidine, yield an intensely blue product. Some of the py rethroids can be resolved into individual isomers by this method. The limit of detection is 0.25-1.0 mug.
