FERROUS PM COMPONENTS - WHERE FROM HERE

In an overview of the field of PM, primarily for the manufacture of fe rrous parts, the reasons for the use of PM are highlighted, with parti cular emphasis on the factors which lead to its superior cost effectiv eness in the manufacture of close tolerance parts. After a brief revie w of the historical growth of PM, development trends aimed at overcomi ng some of the present limitations of the process are considered.
