Carcinoma of the vulva has commonly been recognized as a disease of po
stmenopausal women, although some series have noted up to 15% of cases
occur in women under the age of 40 years. The following is a report o
f a case of invasive vulvar carcinoma diagnosed and treated with radic
al surgery during pregnancy. Recommendations for treatment of this dis
ease during pregnancy are presented and guidelines for subsequent rout
e of delivery are proposed. A review of previously reported cases is a
lso presented.
