Abstract
A simple method for non-Rutherford scattering cross section determinat ion from experimental thick target backscattering spectra is presented . The set of experimental cross sections of carbon and silicon for pro tons is tabulated for laboratory scattering angles of 120-degrees - 17 0-degrees and some are compared with cross sections published earlier. Possible applications of the cross section angular distribution for a nalytical purposes are mentioned.
