Abstract
The excess charge technique in the spectral domain is applied to deter mining the quasistatic capacitances of the lumped equivalent circuits of open-end and pp stripline discontinuities. The numerical results ob tained are used to check the validity of available closed-form express ions. These expressions are found to be inaccurate for stripline gaps when the strip width-ground plane spacing ratio is small.
