ACUTE INTERSTITIAL NEPHRITIS WITH UVEITIS

The case of a patient with acute renal failure and anemia, preceded by anterior uveitis in both eyes, is presented. Renal histopathology sho wed a predominantly lymphocytic interstitial infiltrate with immunoglo bulin G deposits at the basal tubular membrane level A remarkably norm al glomerular pattern was present. After a four month course of predni sone therapy, a total recovery of the renal function and the anemia wa s observed. Uveitis although having relapsing course finally disappear ed.
