C. Hooijer et al., CASES OF MILD DEMENTIA IN THE COMMUNITY - IMPROVING EFFICACY OF CASE-FINDING BY CONCURRENT USE OF PAIRS OF SCREENING-TESTS, International journal of geriatric psychiatry, 8(7), 1993, pp. 561-564
In a previous study, combinations of two short screening tests for dem
entia appeared to have clear advantages over the use of one test both
for the efficacy of case detection and for the comparability of studie
s. In the present study these results were replicated using different
sampling rules for the first and second phases of the screening proced
ure. Preferences for specific test combinations are discussed.
