MAGNETIC-PROPERTIES OF CO-RICH ALCO ALLOYS

Low field magnetic measurements have been made on AlCo alloys between 4.2-180 K. Using magnetic susceptibility and small angle X-ray scatter ing data simultaneous appearance of a spin glass phase and growth of c lusters in the samples could be observed. With increasing amount of Co a phase with mixed spin glass and ferromagnetic properties could be f ound before transition to the ferromagnetic phase. Influence of therma l treatment on mictomagnetic behaviour of AlCo alloys is briefly discu ssed.
